BALCARRES COURSE LOCAL RULES

  1. Young trees identified by stakes are no play zones. If a player’s ball lies anywhere on the course other than in a penalty area and it lies on or touches such a tree or such a tree interferes with the players stance or area of intended swing, the ball MUST be lifted, without penalty and dropped within one club-length not nearer the hole. Rule 16.1f applies
  2. Areas in Bunkers where sand has been removed by the movement of water resulting in deep furrows through the sand are ground under repair. Free relief may be taken under rule 16.1c providing ball is dropped in bunker.
  3. The 6 th Hole is to be played as a call up hole in all club competitions.
  4. Relief may be taken if a ball lies on any gravel covering a drain. Rule 16-1a
  5. When a ball last crossed the edge of the red penalty area in the ditch on hole 1 as an extra relief option adding one penalty stroke the player may drop a ball on the opposite edge of the penalty area.
  6. If a ball is touching or your swing is interfered with by the cloth covering the drain in a bunker it is classed as a immovable object and free relief may be taken under rule 16.1 providing ball is dropped in the bunker.
  7. If a player returns a scorecard without the hole scores being certified either by the player, the marker or both, the player gets the general penalty (two penalty strokes). The penalty applies to the last hole of the player’s round.
  8. Ruts caused by Vehicles is classed as GUR free relief may be taken under rule 16.1.
